RESPONSIBILITIES
Performs a variety of duties to include warehouse and logistics duties, to include receiving, unloading and loading trucks, fulfilling reservation request, and keeping warehouse stocked with essential inventory as well as shipping. Properly packages shipments for CONUS and OCONUS transit. Creates shipping documentation, bills-of-lading, etc. Arranges transportation schedules with carriers. Process improvement and cost reduction.
Provides logistical support of assigned projects including but not limited to, shipping coordination, packaging requirements, shipping documentation, requisition entry and freight damage claims.
Counts, sorts, or weighs incoming goods to verify receipt of items against packing list and purchase order
Records and checks quantity and quality of goods received for conformity to packing slip and purchase orders. May inspect, accept, and reject goods received based on condition and conformity.
Provides cradle to grave accountability for all shipments, requisitions and reservations
Maintain knowledge of current commercial transportation policy to ensure compliance with federal regulations
Conducts physical inventory at regularly scheduled intervals
Conducts inventory audits to ensure 100% inventory accuracy and compliance
Routes outgoing shipments through various freight forwarders and schedules transportation of shipments
Maintain shipment files, issues reports, and responds to customer inquiries regarding status of shipments
Responsible for coordinating with training managers and Recruiting and Operations Support (ROSS) team to conduct the uniform sizing for all new National Capital region (NCR) students
Receive items in Costpoint and store in assigned warehouse location. Mark inventory codes on received goods using proper label
Maintain inventory in the property management software
Responsible for completing and submitting property paperwork such as Fair Wear and Tear (FWT) and Loss, Damaged and Destroyed (LDD) in accordance with company policies
Effectively communicates and coordinates with appropriate buyer regarding returns and rejections of non-conforming material
Operates forklift, and pallet-jack to pull and move stock
Conducts cycle counts and annual physical inventories to ensure accurate stock utilization
Provides logistical assistance as needed for contract start-up and other projects as assigned
Facilities maintenance tasks as assigned
Other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS
High School Diploma required
Associates or Bachelor's Degree preferred
Three years of experience performing general warehouse duties, with focus on receiving and inventory management practices required
Costpoint and Sunflower experience preferred
Prior military preferred
Utilizes effective oral and written communication skills with employees, vendors, etc
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage time and multiple priorities to completion
Problem solving skills with an analytical thought process
Ability to adapt to a rapidly changing environment

WORKING CONDITIONS
Frequent work outside and in inclement weather conditions is required, including heat, cold and humidity. May be exposed to fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals and vibration. Must wear Personal Protective Equipment as required by established Company Safety Standards. Normal work hours are Monday-Friday 7:00 am to 4:00 pm, however some extended or weekend hours may be required.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Must be able to lift and carry awkward items weighing up to 80 lbs. Requires intermittent standing, walking, sitting, squatting, stretching and bending throughout the workday. Requires constant use of hands and fingers to feel, handle or operate objects, tools, or controls and reach with hands and arms. Specific vision required by this job includes close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, color vision and the ability to adjust focus.
