POSITION PROFILE
This position, reporting to the Logistics Transportation Manager, is responsible for domestic LTL and Parcel Transportation analysis and contract administration, supporting the design, build and implementation of Logistics technologies, network analysis, and driving positive change to support business requirements. The position requires a deep understanding of logistics operations and transportation, and will provide support to logistics, load planning, transportation management, and various internal MillerKnoll sites and functions.
Key Responsibilities:
Identify and administer logistics requirements and contracts for all less-than-truckload, parcel, white glove, and specialty carriers
Perform cost analyses to determine optimum mode by shipment size and by region
Develop and maintain inbound and outbound routing guides for Less-than-Truckload and Parcel
Work internally with team members to drive change in current logistics processes in order to transition to future Oracle environment
Assist in defining Logistics requirements related to Oracle OTM functionality and support new business system requirements
Collaborate with IT on the business testing requirements, end user documentation, policies and procedures
Maintain and enhance provider relationships, communication, and metrics
Develop initiatives to achieve cost savings in support of financial plan
Support Logistics and site load planning teams
Provide Logistics support to Customer Resource team
Coordinate and support Delivery improvement programs and associated metrics
Support freight payment processes
Resolve Transportation provider payment issues
Provide support for Logistics reporting and metrics
Support Logistics strategic vision for the future
Required Skills
Proficiency in Microsoft suite of products (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Access, Visio) is required
Communicate effectively to various levels within Knoll
Work effectively in a team environment
Manage several tasks simultaneously
Solve non-routine problems
Urgency and follow through
Required Experience
Education Requirements:
BS/BA Degree or equivalent experience
Experience Requirements:
3 - 5 years Logistics/Transportation experience
Experience with LTL and Parcel modes and understanding of transportation pricing
JDE, Oracle EBS, and OTM experience is beneficial
