Profile

Global Technical Services, LLC (GTS) is currently looking Logistics Specialists to work on a project for our government client at Aberdeen Proving Ground (APG). The ideal candidate will perform general cleaning of equipment and buildings.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Determine detailed requirements, within available or allocated resources, for funds, manpower, facilities, equipment, supplies, and services.
Understand the design and development, procurement, production, storage, distribution, maintenance, transportation, utilization, and disposal of material;
Understand the procurement or design and construction, operation, maintenance, and disposal of facilities;
Prepare, submits, and maintains copies of all required documentation for the proper accountability of personal property;
Maintain the Department of Defense Activity Address Codes (DoDAAC) to ensure supply classifications and shipping and billing information are accurate.
NON - ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Job Requirements :
Required:
High school graduate or equivalent
A security clearance commensurate with property handled or computer systems accessed.
Minimum of two (2) years Standard Base Logistics related experience.
Must be able to operate material handling equipment.
Must possess valid state driver’s license.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
The ability to listen to and understand information and ideas presented through spoken words and sentences.
The ability to communicate information and ideas in speaking so others will understand.
Providing information to supervisors, co-workers, and subordinates by telephone, in written form, e-mail, or in person.
Monitoring and reviewing information from materials, events, or the environment, to detect or assess problems..

This position requires the ability to maneuver around and see, hear, and verbally communicate with co-workers. Essential and marginal functions may require maintaining physical condition necessary for sitting, walking or standing, lifting, pushing, pulling, twisting, throwing, reaching, squatting, stretching, bending for prolonged periods of time; at times lift and carry as much at 50 pounds. Injury exposure could be minor cuts and bruises; considerable physical effort of hands and arms required.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
Work Environment characteristics described here are representative of those that must be borne by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
This position requires driving and working out of doors in extreme heat/ cold and possibly rainy weather and be able to work shifts if needed. Physical stamina and strength in all of its forms (endurance, temperature/ climate, stress, etc) is necessary

ADDITIONAL QUALIFYING FACTORS
Ability to Obtain a SECRET clearance (Applicants selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Accordingly, U.S. Citizenship is required.)
Must have reliable transportation to/from work a necessity and must be able to obtain access to military installations.
As a condition of employment, candidates must have acceptable background check results and pass a pre-employment drug screening.
This position may be subject to random drug and/or alcohol testing on an unannounced basis.
