Global Managment Services, LLC (GMS) is seeking a full-time Medium Truck Driver to support the Furnishing Management Office at JBER.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Will transport and move furniture, equipment and other materials to and from storage or production areas, loading docks, delivery vehicles, buildings, ships, or containers, by hand or using trucks, tractors, or other equipment.
Will be required to load or unload the truck, with or without help.
Will participate in inventory and salvage efforts.
Will include lifting/carrying furniture, equipment, and materials between locations, loading/unloading material, and transportation of material.
Familiarity with military policies and procedures.
Must be able to use the bar coding system.
Conduct monthly inventory and forklift maintenance.
Must have strong customer service skills.
Verifying and reporting all discrepancies prior to issuing or upon returning stock items.
Assisting in warehouse duties during non-driving times.
Training and experience as a Forklift Operator.

Job Requirements :
Required:
High School Diploma or GED.
Must have a valid driver's license with NO major infractions.
Must meet citizenship requirements to work in the United States.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Knowledge of military policies and procedures.
Ability to communicate both orally and in writing with internal and external clients and co-workers.
Ability to team lift items that are 75 lbs or more.
Ability to comply with all relevant US traffic laws and regulations.
Ability to comply with OSHA safety standards.
Ability to perform essential functions of the position with or without reasonable accommodations and limited supervision.
Must be a steady, reliable worker.
Must be able to perform tasks independently after being given specific instructions.
Must be able to pass background check and obtain installation pass.
Physical stamina and strength in all of its forms (endurance, temperature/climate, stress, etc) is a basic requirement of this position.

Essential and marginal functions may require maintaining physical condition necessary for bending, stooping, sitting, walking or standing for prolonged periods of time; working requirements are a combination of maintenance shop activities which require lifting, handling or moving up to 75 lbs, working in on top of or beneath vehicles or equipment on jacks/stands; and office settings for data entry and reporting. Proper wearing of Personal Protective Equipment is essential along with hearing protection when required.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
Work Environment characteristics described here are representative of those that must be borne by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
The work described herein is primarily active, performed in a maintenance shop setting. Walking and climbing will be required at work sites. The work environment involves risks or discomforts that require specific safety precautions typical of such places as vehicle and maintenance shop environments.
