We have an exciting opportunity for a PART TIME CYCLE COUNTER
at our PROVIDENCE, RI
location. This position is for 20 hours per week, typically 4 hours per day with some flexibility available for mornings or afternoons.
Objectives:
Perform a variety of inventory control functions. These tasks include physical and electronic tracking for cycle counting and material transfers. The task of cycle counting is to be performed via hand count or utilizing an electronic counting scale.
Document cycle counts in the ERP system as well as in paper and electronic formats, specifically in Excel.
Perform a variety of stock keeping activities, such as inventory labeling, bagging and counting.
General housekeeping including the proper handling of waste and garbage and maintaining a clean and efficient warehouse, which allows for a clean and safe environment.
Transport material within the manufacturing areas and stock rooms, using pallet jacks, hand trucks, wheeled carts and forklifts.
Requirements:
Knowledge of inventory control concepts and practices.
Working knowledge of PCs, Windows operating systems and Microsoft Office, including Excel.
Ability to utilize E-Mail in a professional and courteous manner.
Previous use of scanners and ERP systems a plus.
Experience and certification with fork-lifts a plus (otherwise, training and certification will be provided onsite).
Ability to use a pallet jack is required, as is the ability to lift 50 lbs. unassisted (lifts of greater than 50 lbs. will be assisted).
