SUMMARY
Arcticom, a subsidiary of **MEMBERS ONLY**SIGN UP NOW***. is currently seeking a Transportation Specialist for Naval Special Warfare Preparatory Course Training and Support Services.
The Transportation Specialist will provide transportation of students and contractors for the program and manage, monitor, and control supplies, equipment and other material through the Logistics Management Specialist.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
The Essential Duties and Responsibilities are intended to present a descriptive list of the range of duties performed for this position, and are

Drive / Transport students and contractor personnel in support of training evolutions etc.
Assist the OIC, through the Logistics Management Specialist, on management of material including initial planning, provisioning and requirements determination, and process inventory from central stocks including distribution, accountability, and ultimate issue for consumption, retention or disposal.
Perform analytical work to manage, regulate, coordinate, or otherwise exercise control over supplies, equipment, or other material.
Monitor and track all inventory issues to include but not limited to issuing of necessary training gear, organizing inventory, requesting inventory purchases, etc.
QUALIFICATIONS - EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION AND CERTIFICATION

Required (Minimum) Qualifications
Minimum of one (1) year of recent experience (within the last 5 years) providing logistical support in a training environment.
High School Diploma, or equivalent.
Possess a current and active military or civilian equivalent bus license (CDL-commercial driver’s license). Contractors designated as Transportation Specialists who carry the necessary licenses shall be allowed to use Government vehicles for transportation of students and personnel to and from training evolutions.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Other Characteristics
Ability to communicate clearly.
Ability to analyze and plan for the management of supplies, equipment and other material.
Preferred
It is desired that each Transportation Specialist possess knowledge of DoD transportation systems and record keeping.
Previous experience in the essential duties and responsibilities as outlined above.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Essential and marginal functions may require maintaining physical condition necessary for bending, stooping, sitting, walking or standing for prolonged periods of time.
This position requires the ability to maneuver around and see, hear, and verbally communicate with co-workers and contractors.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
Work Environment characteristics described here are representative of those that must be borne by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. 
This position requires working indoors and outdoors. Must be able to maintain health in hot and cold conditions with exposure to the elements.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
No supervisory responsibilities.
ADDITIONAL QUALIFYING FACTORS
As a condition of employment, may be required to pass a pre-employment drug screening, as well as have acceptable reference and background check results to obtain access to military base.
Must have reliable transportation to/from work a necessity and must be able to obtain access to military installations.
