Job Details:
SUMMARY: This position will manage daily traffic operations of assigned Tyson facility while assisting the management and direction of traffic operations of multiple facilities. Duties of position: procure and coordinate transportation equipment required to efficiently serve sales and production at a specific plant facility; assist in overall supervision of Traffic Department; follow-up on all late deliveries with carriers; monitor carrier performance to ensure customer and plant service; provide equipment as needed by plant to ensure continuous loading and consistency with sales requirements; confirm and book all loads with carriers; and optimize distribution costs through efficient and effective carrier selection.
REQUIREMENTS:
Education: College degree or equivalent industry experience preferred.
Experience: 5 plus years transportation experience preferred ; supervisory experience preferred .
Computer Skills: Basic computer skills; FM legacy systems TES OTR software skills preferred.
Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Special Skills: Proven problem solving skills.
