Job Details:
Position posting: This position is responsible to analyze and establish acceptable rate levels for all transportation modes and to benchmark rate standards for all international and domestic bulk transportation. This position will analyze freight rates for all lanes and modes of transportation for international and bulk transportation. It will also be responsible for analyzing data and creating various summary and exception reports on a periodic basis to upper management and help present accurate data in time of negotiation with vendors. This position is responsible to make sure payments are made to various freight vendors in a timely manner. Responsible to update various system-based rate tables. Will also be responsible to set up new carrier vendors. This position will also be responsible for daily supervision of auditing administrators. Other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
Education: High School diploma or equivalent; BS BA degree in Transportation or Business preferred.
Experience: 5 plus years of experience or advanced degree with 3 plus years of related experience preferred.
Computer Skills: Strong experience in Microsoft Office programs and various systems preferred.
Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills required. Position communicates with multiple levels of management carriers and vendors.
Special Skills: Individual must be highly detail orientated. Must demonstrate strong problem-solving skills along with the ability to work well on their own and with others in a team setting fostering a positive goal-oriented environment.
Supervisory: 2 plus Team Members
Travel: 1-2 domestic trips per year
