Transportation Analyst II

**What youll be doing** :
Staples Transportation is a Center of Excellence within the Supply Chain. The team goal is to provide the best service at the lowest sustainable cost. The Transportation Analyst position is responsible to coordinate the movement of domestic products from our suppliers to our warehouses. The team is responsible for 130,000 shipments per year with a carrier base of 70 carriers. In addition, this position will be responsible to understand root cause failures with an objective to correct any issues that arise with the suppliers, warehouses, and carriers.
**What you bring to the table** :
Good constant communication between suppliers, warehouses and carriers is key to success in this position.
A good sense of urgency is needed as this is a fast-paced environment
Track and trace POs until delivery.
Manage carrier to ensure on time delivery of 97%
Ensure vendor on time routing to a goal of 94%
Correctly classify failures to the correct root cause
Communicate late POs and provide ETAs to the Inventory Team
Work closely with the Inventory Team to understand expectations and identify challenges before they occur
Excellent written and verbal communications skills
Ability to effectively work cross functionally
Strong problem-solving skills
Time Management Skills
Ability to prioritize workload
**Qualifications :**
**Whats needed- Basic Qualifications:**
High School Diploma or GED
Excellent working knowledge of PC applications including Excel, Word, Access, V-Lookups, formulas
**Whats needed- Preferred Qualifications:**
1 2 years of related work experience
Associate or Technical Degree
Advanced Analytics is a Plus
