Job Description:
- Operate and drive tractor-trailer, long combination vehicles & straight trucks weighing over 5000 GVW to transport goods and materials.
- Responsible for planning scheduled trip logistics and to obtain required documentation from office.
- Load and unload goods as and when required
- Receive & relay information to central dispatch
- Perform pre-trip, en-route and post-trip inspection of vehicle systems, equipment and accessories such as tires, lights and turning signals, brakes etc.
- Ensure cargo is secured properly in accordance with safety requirements and follow safety procedures 
- Record and maintain cargo information, logbook, distance travelled and vehicle's fuel consumption.
- Manually and/or electronically maintain logbook.
- Operate GPS systems effectively
- May drive as part of a two-person team
