This position will be responsible for executing and refining the policies and procedures necessary to manage the Ground Service Equipment Division.      Key Responsibilities: Safety and compliance focused Manager reinforcing best practices and continuous improvement in all areas of shop operation and responsibilities Manages daily operations of the GSE shop consisting of a team of  4 Supervisors, and over 60 leads, technicians and support staff on site 24/7 maintaining over 2,700 pieces of equipmentImplements and directs quality control program with defect prevention approach for all operational areas Establishes, monitors, and follows policies, procedures, and service standards for the in support of hub/ramp operations Fine tunes, implements and sustains KPIs and other metric based measures to assess current status of the GSE shop while driving efficiencies and improved deliverablesHas significant knowledge of GSE (Ground Service Equipment), its role in supporting ramp operations and of maximizing equipment uptimeExperience in CMMS software to organize workflows, protect assets and manage parts inventoriesEvaluates vendor relationship with regard to service and product quality, meeting of commitments, warranty capture and alignment with established DHL vision Reports to Senior Management and has demonstrated presenting and analytical acumenHas direct budget oversight and reporting responsibilitiesResponsible for hiring, coaching, training, and developing staff Leading as a Successful 21st Century Manager Develop a high performance service culture within the organization that nurtures and encourages service excellence, engagement, cost consciousness and quality based on our CIM 21st Century Manager principles and Respect and resultsIdentify training needs and opportunities to develop a highly skilled functional department.
