We have a thriving Transportation & Infrastructure practice with a close-knit, team-oriented group that is growing rapidly. Due to our success, we need to continue to add resources to assist with the delivery of our current extensive backlog of work. This backlog includes tasks associated with various infrastructure improvement projects for the Mid-Atlantic Region as well as numerous private sector clients and work sharing with other STV Offices.
This role emphasizes project design, production, and delivery, with the ability to develop both professionally and personally. What we are seeking:
STV Incorporated seeks a
Senior Planner
to be based in our Baltimore, MD, and Mid-Atlantic transportation planning practice. This is an outstanding opportunity for an innovative and strategic leader to prepare and deliver planning, environmental, engineering, and project management insights while influencing decisions by clients and managers alike. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing multidiscipline projects in the Mid-Atlantic region with a focus on Maryland clients.
The Senior Planner is responsible for:
Successfully delivering transportation studies, economic reports, feasibility studies, alternatives analysis, impact statements and assessments and leadership for multi-discipline projects with high degrees of technical complexity.
Performing and managing diverse and complex discipline work tasks requiring extensive planning, communication, and management skills.
Supporting project quality initiatives including quality plan development, quality assurance reviews, and providing guidance to project management teams to comply with project requirements.
Coordinating state and local agency reviews and implementing agency strategies. Developing and nurturing key client relationships and leverage existing client relationships for future work opportunities.
Working with practice and office leadership, focus on client development, business development and industry participation.
What you need:
Bachelors or Master of Science degree in planning, engineering, or similar curriculum (Masters preferred)
Demonstrated planning practice development and management capability.
Ten (10) years of experience in transportation planning or a closely related field, with professional experience in both the public sector and private-sector consulting
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Proven project management skills, with experience overseeing complex transportation projects
