Job Description

Moves empty trailer of cages to the growers farm

Waits while cages are filled with chickens and reloaded

Transfers cages full of chickens back to processing facility

Place trailers on a scale to be weighed

Spot trailer in a stationary position

Pick up another empty trailer and return to growers farm

Must be able to wash down chickens in cages.

Must be able to add side to cages when needed.

Must have and maintain CDL license

Must be able to work as needed by Supervisor

Must have a good work record

Must properly maintain a driving log and conduct a thorough pre-trip inspection of the equipment and submit a written report on the condition of the tractor and trailer at the end of each trip. Report all accidents or incidents involving driver of company equipment. Must be willing to repair lights and perform minor vehicle maintenance as needed. Must be able to climb in/out of truck using 3 points of contact several times a day and climb ladders as needed at varying height. Must be willing to drive, walk, sit, bend, stoop, twist as needed and repeat all essential functions throughout the shift. Must be willing to lift up to 50 pounds as needed. Must follow all DOT rules and regulations in addition to all Tyson Foods policies to include Animal Welfare and Bio-Security guidelines. Must be willing to work/drive in inclement weather; hot, cold, dusty, icy, etc. Complete all other tasks assigned by management

Job Requirements

Applicant must have an active Class A CDL, must be at least 21 years of age, must have at least 1 year verifiable driving experience with a tractor/trailer. Must have ten years of work history (employed)

Use of hands to chain/hook, to un-tie and tie down cages on trailer

Good hand / eye and foot coordination

Subject to external environment, heat, cold and weather

Can handle a dusty environment

Pulling, bending, twisting, turning, being able to get into the truck

Use lower extremities to drive straight drive truck
