1. PURPOSE OF ROLE

a. The main purpose of this role is to support the Director Global Transportation in providing management to all primary distribution moves from Actives and Intermediaries through finished goods arriving at in-market DC/Hub. These are the highest risk moves of bulk products which could have significant loss or supply interruption to BMS if an excursion or event were to occur.

b. The main accountabilities of this role include but are not limited to:

i. In region support ofand actioning Global Logistics Capacity Planning for Primary Distribution moves.

ii. In region management of Control Tower for visibility of shipments and pro-active decision making.

iii. In region (although role may be to manage account from a global perspective) Strategic Partner Relationships management with Transportation service providers.

iv. Support global Transportation team and optimization of Primary Distribution efficiency and effectiveness.

v. Providing input to support Director Global Transportation with role in Transportation vCoE.

2. SCALE & SCOPE OF THE ROLE

a. This role would encompass management of all in-region primary transportation moves as well as primary transportation moves originating in the region but shipping to other regions.

b. Influences and collaborates with Procurement, TPM's, Plant Sites, Regional Logistics colleagues particularly Regional Transportation Leads and their teams, Quality, Security, WWPT, Commercial, External partners and many others in the effective and efficient deployment of logistics capabilities across all modes and methods of transportation.

c. Regional role across all product lines, all regions and all business units.

d. Regional element of global spend of $80-$100MM annually.

3. INDEPENDENCE

a. Significant level of performance completed under own volition.

b. Significant collaboration to achieve desired results as mentioned in 2b. above, both internally and externally.

c. Propagates best practices through support of Director, Global Transportation who in turn provides vCofE SME contribution.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES


10% - Provide input to and regional expertise in the development and implementation of a robust process for Global Logistics Capacity Planning for Primary Distribution moves with appropriate cadence (minimum monthly) and horizon (minimum 18 months). Incorporate this into appropriate business processes to provide visibility to relevant internal and external stakeholders to proactively manage any exceptions and mitigate interruption risks for your area of responsibility.
20% - Support development of capabilities to meet evolving business needs through implementing and/or improving systems, processes and people.
30% - For primary distribution partners you are responsible for developing Strategic Partner Relationships based on best practices and utilize these to drive value for both parties. Develop BMS's position within Partner organization.
30% - Overall oversight and management of all Primary Distribution moves under your responsibility and the effective and efficient optimization of these moves balancing cost,service and quality trade off's in an appropriate manner. This includes quick and robust issue resolution process.
10% - As regional SME expert for Primary Distribution this role will contribute to Transportation vCofE, through supporting the Director Global transportation.
