McCoy Public Works, JV is seeking a Heavy Truck Driver at Fort McCoy, WI.
The Heavy Truck Driver drives a truck to transport materials, merchandise, equipment, or workers between various types of establishments, or between retail establishments and customers’ houses or places of business. This driver may also back, load or unload truck with or without helpers, make minor mechanical repairs, and keep truck in good working order.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Hauling snow in the winter from designated areas.
Driving the garbage truck for the transfer station.
Plowing snow with trucks mounted with snow plows.
Spreading salt and sand/salt on roads in the winter.
NON - ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements :
Required:
High School Diploma or GED required.
Valid Driver’s license, proof of insurance and acceptable driving record.
CDL B license.
Reliable transportation to/from work.
Minimum of four (4) years related experience in the field.
Must maintain required city/county/state license(s) and/or certification(s), where applicable.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Able to read, speak, and communicate well in English.
Ability to communicate well with others.

Job is performed driving a heavy truck. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is exposed to weather conditions with high temperatures above 100 ( 100) degrees Fahrenheit and below 20 (-20) degrees Fahrenheit. The noise level in the work environment can punctuate with the sounds of heavy machinery/equipment..
