Night Transportation Jobs description
A night transporter ensures that vehicles are effectively utilized by developing efficient delivery schedules. A night transporter makes recommendations to the transportation manager on improving the operations of the fleet. A night transporter provides delivery services that meet customer expectations; maintains accurate files on vehicle use, conditions, and maintenance; and implements an inspection program and a maintenance program to keep equipment in effective operating conditions. A night transporter is responsible for supervising the accurate and efficient receiving, stocking, shipping, replenishment, and picking up of all classes of merchandise. A night transporter ensures compliance with all government regulations and ensures the cleanliness of the facility during the night shift. A night transporter also ensures compliance with all applicable safety policies and procedures.A night transporter should possess a bachelor's degree and one year of experience in the transportation field or a related field. A night transporter must have strong analytical, communication, and organizational skills. A night transporter must be able to work flexible hours and to work until the job is finished each night. A night transporter should have the ability to record and deliver information, to explain procedures, and to follow oral and written instructions.
