TRW Automotive Incorporated plans to cut 140 brake jobs located in Livonia, Michigan.
The company plans to let go of workers in its brake division and to leave any open positions unfilled. This includes anyone working as a brake engineer or brake staff and contract employees.
TRW is a global company that focuses on providing parts and safety products and services for vehicles.
The company employs more than 21,000 workers in the US and over 66,000 worldwide. It is ranked at number 11 on Automotive News’ list of the top 100 international automotive parts suppliers.
In addition to brakes, the company also produces supplies for steering and suspension, seat belts, and inflatable restraints.
