Lawmakers from the Commission on Government Forecasting and Accountability are in limbo about whether Illinois Governor Rod Blagojevich’s plan to move 100 Illinois Department of Transportation workers from Springfield to Southern Illinois is a good or bad idea.
But the commission has yet to announce its verdict because many have questions, ideas, and even suggestions, but it also knows that the Governor’s decision couldn’t be overturned anyway.
One main concern lawmakers have is the future of those Springfield families that would be affected by the transfer, and many plan to voice their opinions in a meeting to be held this Thursday.
