Bobcat to Cut 200 ND Jobs

Light construction equipment manufacturer Bobcat will eliminate 195 jobs across its three North Dakota facilities.Most of the layoffs affected hourly employees in Gwinner, population 717. The other facilities are in Bismark and West Fargo. The firm hopes to rehire at a later date.
Bobcat employed 1,835 in North Dakota before the layoffs. It laid off 250 earlier this year, and temporarily shut down production lines.
Bobcat Company is a manufacturer of farm and construction equipment with headquarters in West Fargo, North Dakota, and manufacturing plants in Gwinner and Bismarck, North Dakota, Dobris, the Czech Republic and Wujiang, China.
