Continental Airlines to Close Call Center, Cut 500 Jobs

Houston, Texas-based Continental Airlines will shutter a call center in Tampa, Florida, laying off 100 reservation agents.Another 400 reservation agents will be let go across the company. Continental is offering voluntary severance and leave of absence programs. Some workers may be able to transfer to other locations, with relocation assistance.
Continental Airlines is a US-based certificated air carrier. Based in Downtown Houston, Texas, it is the fourth-largest airline in the US based on revenue passenger miles.
