GE’s New Battery Factory to Hire 350 New York State Workers

General Electric will build a $100 million sodium battery factory in New York State.The plant will open in 2011, and will employ 350 people. A specific site has not been determined.
The state will give GE a $15 million cash incentive.
The General Electric Company, or GE, is a multinational technology and services conglomerate incorporated in the State of New York. In terms of market capitalization as of September 30, 2008, GE is the world’s tenth largest company.
