Ceridian, a global human resources and payroll company, is expanding its operations in St Petersburg, Florida. Over the next year, backed by a $1.9 Million tax incentive program, the company plans to hire as many as 220 new full time employees. Although the company is based in Minneapolis, St Petersburg has been a key hub for the company since the purchase of ABR Information Services in 1999. Currently Ceridian has 1200 employees at its benefit services division in a 400,000 square foot center in St Petersburg.
In order to get the tax incentives, the company agreed to pay higher than average wages for new employees and to make $1.5 Million worth of improvements to its facilities. New hires will be paid just over $45,000 per year.
