The variety store chain, Family Dollar, will bring around 350 new jobs to Ashley, Indiana when it opens up a new distribution center in the area.
Indiana Governor, Mitch Daniels, said, “We’re excited to bring hundreds of new jobs and tens of millions in capital investment anywhere in Indiana, but it’s a special celebration when a great smaller town like Ashley is involved.”
The new distribution center, which will be an 815,000 square-foot facility, will cost the chain nearly $70 million.
Construction on the facility will begin this Spring. Hiring for the center will begin early next year.
