Job Description:
Our partner, a national provider of diagnostic testing, has an immediate need for Courier Drivers to support their Roanoke, Virginia location. This position is a contract opportunity that will be for three months. The Courier's primary responsibilities will be to perform pick-up of test samples and supply request forms, deliver supplies, and reports on a specified route following established sequence and schedule. The candidate is required to have one year of Courier/Driver experience. This position is a first shift, Monday - Friday, 11am - 7:30pm with the need to be flexible for weekend rotations and overtime. The starting pay rate for these roles is $14/hr.
Responsibilities:
Review order sheets
Pick and pack inventory from the warehouse to prepare for delivery
Follow designated traveling routes
Pick up items as each destination and bring back to the drop-off site
Education Requirements:
High school diploma or Equivalent
Desired Background/Skills:
Previous Lab Courier or Driving Experience preferred
Qualifications:
Employee runs route, picks up and transports specimens
Must be available for weekend rotations to cover weekend routes
This route covers 240 miles-per-day and has an average of 23 stops-per-day picking up an average of 150 specimens-per-day
Must have a valid Driver's License
Must have the ability to find alternate routes when there are traffic back-ups
Must be timely and be able to meet deadlines
