POSITION SUMMARYu00A0 Driver will be required to operate and maintain Commercial Motor Vehicle combination to transport and deliver products to external customers, which may include u201Cstore dooru201D and /or inter-company deliveries by performing the following duties in a safe and timely manner to meet customer needs.u00A0DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIESOperate Commercial Motor Vehicle to and from destination in accordance with applicable State and Federal regulations.Performs Pre and Post Trip Tractor and Trailer Inspections daily.u00A0 Additionally, the driver must submit inspection reports to the home terminal dispatch at the end of shift.Investigate and properly fill out the appropriate paper work for vehicle accidents and submit them to the Corporate Safety and Health Office.Maintain Drivers Daily Log and abides by Hours of Service according with Federal regulations.Maintain J.J. Keller systems for DOT Purposes.Possessu2019 extensive knowledge of DOT regulations and Company Fleet Safety policies.Assist customer and plant employees in loading and unloading trailers in a safe manner.u00A0QUALIFICATIONSMust have successfully completed the probationary / trial period.Must have excellent attendance habitsMust have no other disciplinary write-ups within the past 90 days.Must possess a valid CDL Commercial Drivers License (Class A) and certify that they hold only one valid operatoru2019s license.Must be physically qualified by passing a DOT Medical Certification with company physician.Must be at least 21 years of age for interstate operation (operating from one state to another).Must be able to read and speak the English language sufficiently to converse with the general public, to understand highway traffic signs and signals in the English language, to respond to official inquiries, and to make entries on reports and records.Must by reason of experience, training, or both, safely operate the type of Commercial Motor Vehicle he/she will be driving.u00A0 A minimum of one year is required.Must meet Pilgrims Prideu2019s Qualification and Hiring Policy, which includes the following:u00A0Complete Pilgrims Prideu2019s Driver Application.Previous employer request (Three (3) years of verifiable driving experience)Certification of violations (annual review of driving record)Motor Vehicle Report must have less than three (3) occurrencesComplete a u201CRoad Testu201DCertificate of complianceDrive Data SheetWritten Examination of Federal RegulationsSubmit to a DOT Drug and Alcohol Screen Testsu00A0u00A0EOE/VET/DISABLED
