We are currently hiring two Terminal Managers to oversee daily operations at Edmonton International Airport, providing guidance and support to managers with a focus on effectiveness and performance.

Reporting to the General Manager, (GM), the Terminal Manager, manages and oversees the Checkpoint, Performance and Operations Managers and all aspects of site planning, organization, training and monitoring to achieve the overall performance expectations of CATSA, Transport Canada and **MEMBERS ONLY**SIGN UP NOW***..
POSITION DUTIES
Assist General Manager in managing daily company operations of the base to ensure a positive, safe, and profitable working environment.
• Responsible for guiding the Operations Managers through financial plans, systems, and controls of the branch. Continuously conduct financial reviews to remain current on the state of the business.
• Works with the operations workforce planning models, including operational schedules. Will assist in the auditing and management of base overhead.
• Conduct regular operational meetings with direct reports to review performance results, customer surveys, compliance scores, and keep direct reports updated with corporate and industry changes.
• Contribute to the overall monitoring of screening operations to ensure adherence to the aviation industry protocols, client requirements, legislation, or division-specific.
• Assist in implementing remedial or training actions to ensure ongoing compliance, including interactions with the client (senior levels).
• Coordinate with General Manager in planning short and long-term projects, budgets, expense controls, schedules, and staffing. May be expected to be part of unique projects from time to time.
• Cooperate with General Manager and Operation Managers in recruiting, training, payroll processing, performance evaluation, promotions, and employees' release.
• Complex Investigations: To lead the investigative process for complex matters relating to Harassment, Code of Ethics, Code of Conduct, or corrective action. The Terminal Manager is the decision-maker in the outcome and further actions, including the possible termination of screening personnel, as it relates to complex matters.
• Supports the Operation Managers in monitoring the workforce absenteeism, in conjunction with support from administrative services. In addition, the Terminal Manager will lead more complex discussions relating to the accommodation process, including managing confidential and sensitive information.
• Take a leading role in a labour relations strategy. This includes leading the team through the final stages of the grievance process, which includes providing written responses to the unions. Will assist with the bargaining process as required.
• Participates in and demonstrates an understanding of safety principles and practices; follows all safety policies and procedures to support a safe working environment. Liaison with Health and Safety internal community to ensure

SKILLS / EXPERIENCE:

APPLICATION REQUIREMENTS:
*Post-secondary education in a relevant field OR equivalent combination of education and experience *Minimum of 3 years experience in a Senior Management capacity overseeing a management team *Minimum 3 years experience in aviation or relevant field overseeing large operations *Advanced proficiency with MS Office Suite specifically in Excel and Access *Must be a Canadian Citizen or a Permanent Resident as defined in the Immigration Act with an employment authorization document *Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance and Secret Clearance *No previous criminal background for which a pardon has not been granted *18 years or older
