Job Description

This position is responsible for the transport and delivery of freight on time in a professional manner by driving diesel-powered tractor/trailer combinations short and long distances, while complying with Department of Transportation rules and regulations, maintaining a safe work environment, and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures.

This position is responsible for delivery of chicks from Hatchery to various area farms. This position may also be required to pick up eggs from area farms when needed. Must operateMust keep truck and equipment in good working order, maintain driver's daily logs and fill out all required DOT documentation. Must be willing to work in outside hot or cold and dusty environments. Must be willing to climb up and down stairs to get to/from the work areas and steps in/out of the trucks.

Job Requirements

Current and valid CDL License with a clean driving record.

Must have a minimum of one (1) year driving experience in a Class A vehicle.

Must have a current DOT medical card.

Must meet the Tyson Driver Evaluations System requirements.

Must be willing to work weekends and overtime (as needed)

Must learn all farm locations for both chick delivery and egg haul

Operate Moffett loader to unload chicks at farms.

Must have legible handwriting to properly complete Log

General climbing, lifting, pushing and or pulling (as needed)

Will travel to area poultry farms as scheduled

Must be able to perform Pre & Post Trip vehicle inspection

Ability to perform and complete routine paperwork

Willing to perform all duties as assigned by management

Must not own, possess, or otherwise maintain any domestic, wild or exotic fowl to be considered.

You must be 21 years of age and have at least one year of verifiable driving experience. You must have a valid Class A CDL from same state that you reside. If applicant meets minimum guidelines they may be contacted for an interview.
