Profile

This position is responsible for operating trucks and moving trailers in and out of loading areas while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures.

Essential Functions:


Move correct trailer from yard to door.

Set reefer units at appropriate settings.

Check to see if reefer units will start.

Communicate with dispatcher and follow instructions.

Report any fuel or oil leaks to maintenance.

Will be responsible for the cleanliness of the shuttle truck.

Will do pre-inspection for safety and mechanical defects on shuttle truck at beginning of shift.

Will be required to complete lot checks, perform yard sanitation, and all other duties assigned.


Special Skills Required:


Must be willing to lift cases of product that can weigh up to 40 lbs.

Must be willing to tolerate extreme cold and extreme heat (12 hours per day).

Must be willing to bend at waist and knees on a repetitive basis (9-11 hours per day).

Must be willing to twist and turn (9-11 hours per day).

Must be willing to climb in and out of truck cab on a continual basis (9-11 hours per day).

Must be willing to walk throughout the day (9-11 hours per day).

Must have a valid Driver's License.

Must have a clean safety record with no DWI/DUI in last 12 months.

Must maintain an attendance point level of 4 or less.
