The Transportation Scheduling Analyst works with cross functional teams to influence and recommend solutions regarding network and enterprise transportation issues. The role partners with all levels of field and corporate leadership to ensure consistency across buildings, driving efficiencies, and closes operational gaps.
Key Responsibilities
Scheduling Research to Resolution Investigate reported system issues submitted by the internal and external teams to assess the error.
Drive identification, resolution and process improvements of scheduling errors, utilizing the appropriate business tools, systems, processes and metrics to produce the most efficient and cost-effective results.
Scheduling Root Cause Analysis Analyze scheduling trends to determine root cause and recommendations to mitigate future issues.
Collaborate with appropriate business partners on recommendations and implement where applicable.
Track the results of the recommendations to determine if the recommendations are producing desired results.
Scheduling Reporting Provide value add analysis and reporting to drive decision making related to Transportation and DC availability
Utilize key financial and operational metrics/reporting to evaluate the business and act as primary contact in making improvements.
Using Scheduling system, create ad hoc reporting to provide business teams and carriers with visibility to trends, opportunities and strengths.
Create on demand ad hoc reporting to support the needs of the business.
Collaboration with internal and external business partners Partner with internal partners to: Drive operational and strategic priorities
Review performance expectations, accountability and improvements
Partner with external carriers to: Driver performance expectations, accountability and improvements
Partner on operational and strategic priorities
Basic Requirements: 2 or more years of Transportation, Logistics, Supply Chain, or related experience
2 or more years of experience working cross-functionally involving multiple teams, priorities and deadlines
1 or more years of experience using analytical skills to problem-solve
Strong business and financial acumen
Strong Office computer, communication (written and verbal), and analytical skills
Analytical approach to problem-solving
Ability to prioritize workload by the level of urgency while maintaining positive, professional approach
