We have an exceptional opportunity available for a fully remote Senior Commercial Transportation Underwriter
to be an integral part of a team of experienced underwriters. You will have the ability to directly influence Great West's growth through partnering with our team and collaborating with our agency partners. In this position, you will:
• Demonstrate your transportation underwriting experience and expertise by analyzing, evaluating potential loss hazards, and structuring insurance programs to meet the needs of our insureds.
• Directly impact the profitability and success of our business.
• Have autonomy in your work and manage your own book of business.
• Become a trusted partner with our agents and insureds through your relationship-building skills.
• Participate in development opportunities through one-on-one mentoring, classroom instruction, and self-study.
Successful candidates will have:
• Prior experience in transportation underwriting.
• Negotiation skills and the ability to analyze risk.
• The ability to identify customer needs and market Great West products and services to them.
