Join us in creating a sustainable future and becoming a protector of tomorrow!SIGN ON BONUS!!!!!!Must know how to drive manual shift vehicles!The Truck Driver in the Process Plant is responsible for the safe, environmentally sound and efficient operation of motorized vehicles in supporting plant operations in the production of refuse derived fuel (RDF).ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:Drives tractor-type trucks to relocate trailers in the plant, to transport waste refuse to the landfill area, and to transport ferrous metal and aluminum to designated salvage and reclaim areas.nAssures that all trucks are properly loaded, cleaned, and tarped prior to exiting the residue loadout area.nnPerforms daily routine pre-operational inspections of assigned vehicles and fills out necessary log sheets.nnReports all malfunctioning equipment and required maintenance to supervision for completion of work requests.nnMaintains proper fuel, lubricant and oil levels for operation of equipment.nnRemains continually aware of unsafe working conditions or procedures and takes immediate steps to eliminate the unsafe condition.nnMaintains constant communications and coordinates all vehicle activities with the Process Control Operator.nnPerforms lockout and tagout of equipment in support of maintenance activities.nnCompletes all necessary trip tickets, log sheets, and daily reports.nnPerforms general housekeeping tasks and maintains cleanliness of vehicles.nnPerforms additional tasks as directed by the Shift Supervisor, or his or her designee.nnnEDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:nMust have a valid Florida CDL Class A license and current DOT certification.nnMust have no DUI, DWI or DUBAL convictions and no more than 9 points on Motor Vehicle Record during the previous 36-month period.nnMust be able to read, write and speak EnglishnnMust have a minimum of high school diploma or equivalent.nnCovanta is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
