Job Description
Tasks:
Must properly maintain a driving log and conduct a thorough pre-trip inspection of the equipment and submit a written report on the condition of the tractor and trailer at the end of each trip. Report all accidents or incidents involving driver of company equipment.
Must be willing to repair lights and perform minor vehicle maintenance as needed. Must be able to climb in/out of truck using3 points of contact several times a day and climb ladders as needed at varying height. Must be willing to drive, walk, sit, bend, stoop, twist, as needed and repeat all essential functions throughout the shift. must be willing to lift up to 50 pounds as needed. Must follow all DOT rules and regulations in addition to all Tyson Foods policies to include Animal Welfare and Bio-Security guidelines. Must be willing to work/drive in inclement weather, hot cold, dusty, icy etc.., Complete all other tasks by management.
Requirements:
Applicant must have an active Class A CDL, must be 21 years of age, must have at least 1 year verifiable driving experience with tractor trailer. Must have ten years of work history (employed, unemployed, self-employed, or a student) Must be able to obtain a medical card as required by DOT. No DUI/DWI convictions in the past eight (8) years in a personal vehicle. No DUI/DWI convictions in Commercial Motor Vehicle ever. No DOT Drug or Alcohol violations including roadside inspection violations as identified on locations PSP report with the past three (3) years. Must be able to pass a driving test. Must be able to pass a mandatory drug test for Tyson each time a DOT physical or random is given. Must meet the Tyson Driver evaluation System requirements that involve but not limited to: Points, DUI/DWI Rules and Drug and AlcoholTesting. Must not own, posses, or otherwise maintain any domestic, wild or exotic fowl tobe considered.
