This is a responsible supervisory position; Supervise the work of others requiring physical presence in the office environment; Report directly to the AACOG Transportation Director. The position holder is directly responsible for oversight of the daily administration within ART, including billing, budgeting, invoicing, requests for proposals (RFP), grant and funding management, contract administration and tracking, drug and alcohol testing oversight, report submissions to the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) and the Federal Transit Administration (FTA); Position holder will have direct responsibility and oversight of the staff and the functions for Wilson County and project oversight for Call-A-Ride for Veterans (CARV), Medicaid, Aging Programs along with the grant oversight of Metro 5310 and oversight of staff of ART Command Center; Administrative responsibilities also include: quality assurance and quality control within ART, developing and implementing policies and procedures, enhancing efficiency and managing outreach and marketing programs; Maintain communication with all staff and other agency employees who have direct or indirect involvement in supporting ART operations; Work with key staff to identify and resolve problems.
Drive a vehicle on a public road; Time pressures in meeting deadlines; Perform multiple tasks simultaneously; Resolve conflicts as necessary; Work closely with others as part of a team; Deal with emergency situations as needed; May work an irregular schedule, if required; Perform other job related duties as assigned.
Desired Education/Job Experience:
Prefer a Bachelor's Degree; A minimum of five (5) years of experience in transportation management and of supervisory experience; or any equivalent combination of experience and training which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
Minimum Physical Requirements:
Light carrying/lifting which requires physically transporting, raising items from a lower to a higher position, or moving objects horizontally weighing 15 to 20 pounds from one location to another; Sit for sustained periods of time; Visual requirement for reading documents, computer screens and operating a vehicle.
This position is a Pay Grade 26, with a starting salary of $80,297.19. This is an exempt position. Open until Filled.
