Contract Type: Full time FTC, 6 months
We are currently hiring for Class 1 Tanker Driver positions in Carrington, Greater Manchester. The role requires drivers to deliver our products safely in accordance with legal requirements and our own safe working procedures throughout the UK. A full bespoke training package will be provided.
As the Bulk Liquid Tanker Driver, you will
Adhere to all safety rules, processes, and procedures, as safety is a condition of employment.
Carry out pre & post vehicle checks in-line with DVSA guidelines, and Air Products standards, which may change from time-to-time
Be loading, unloading and all other activities associated with product management in-line with distribution working instructions and procedures available via ‘RTL Knowledgebase app’
Successfully complete all required internal and regulatory training
Maintain tachograph infringement level in-line with DVSA/Traffic commissioner expectations, and Air Products standards, whereby regular feedback, monitoring and coaching will be provided to ensure full compliance.
As the Bulk Liquid Tanker Driver, you are and already have
LGV 1 license (HGV Class 1/C E unrestricted)
Proven tanker driving experience and minimum of three years consecutive driving experience operating the class of vehicle that will be operated at Air Products upon employment
ADR Training Certificate 2,3,8 minimum (refreshed every 5 years)
Driver's CPC Qualification Card (DQC) and evidence of current Periodic Training Status
Proven track record of working within a safety-first environment
Able to work under his/her own initiative with excellent communication skills
Proven track record of ability to drive in a professional manner to achieve best in class in performance efficiencies
To reside within a reasonable distance from Carrington
New colleagues will join the depot rotating shift pattern, there are 225 paid shifts per annum. Drivers must be prepared to work a variety of shift and rota patterns, including night and weekend, working, as well as nights away in the cab and to transfer between these work patterns to meet the company's and customer's operational requirements.
This role is part of an unionised environment and T&Cs are aligned to a collective agreement.
