SUMMARY:

This position is primarily responsible for assisting in the coordination and production of the export ocean freight booking document process for international product shipments. Reviewing documents and correspondence intended for container freight station delivery appointments, drayage scheduling and export trucking delivery appointments, export shipping data entry, and producing ocean freight and international shipping status reports when required and metric data to measure department effectiveness and efficiencies. Besides the reviewing of export freight related documents for accuracy this positions will also work with various international sales offices on a daily basis to insure timely delivery of export shipments to international customers by producing and distributing customer service tracking and performance reports. This position will assist in the investigation, documentation and filing of export claims with the appropriate Tyson Foods departments. This position will also work with various shipping locations (Freezer Warehouses, Production plant ,Distribution Centers on maintaining positive performance and improving processes based on specific reporting criteria they will manage. They will assist the Global Logisitcs manager for Poultry in managing other processes including the 30 70 Credit program, Letters of Credit forms, shipping instructions and communications io to ocean freight vendors and Canadian B-3 audit. They will also create and maintain various performance tracking reports, budget & cost center reports, shipping graphs, and other duties as assigned by supervisor.

REQUIREMENTS:

Education: High School level education or equivalent required with basic high-school-level knowledge of Math, English grammar, administrative business activities, etc.

Experience: 3 plus years of experience preferred.

Computer Skills: Basic computer skills including basic knowledge of SAP, Microsoft Excel, Word & Outlook etc.

Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Special Skills: Must demonstrate strong problem-solving skills along with the ability to work well with others in a team setting fostering a positive goal-oriented environment.
