Courier Driver Opr DA01

Profile

This position is responsible for delivery and pick up of various items while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures. Applicants will be considered for any courier class 4 opening. These openings require for driving to pick up parts, deliver waste water samples and assist, in the general operation of the plant stock room and truck shop. This person will be responsible for learning the location of local vendors and care of parts and samples during transport. A general knowledge of maintenance parts would be a plus. Team member will also be responsible for mowing and general grounds maintenance during warm weather and cleaning up in parking lots and painting during cold weather, when not running parts. These opening may require lifting up to 50 pounds, shoveling, climbing stairs and ladders up to 10 feet, bending, stretching, reaching, working in extreme hot, cold, inclement weather, and odors. Must be able to use basic hand tools and perform basic mechanical and maintenance functions. Maintain clean work area by use of soap and high pressure hose. Must be able to read and complete required paper work. Must be able to communicate with supervisor and co-workers via two-way radio. May perform other duties as assigned by supervisor. May be required to operate frontend loader or forklift and will be required to obtain certification to do so.
