Job Details:

Position Summary: This position is responsible for the safe, accurate, and efficient operation of a jack. The Jack driver works in warehouse environments where their prime duty is to operate/drive pallet jacks to move items from one place to another in the warehouse. Jack drivers also double as order pickers and most of their time is spent unloading box trucks & putting them in their bin location & looking for orders in storage areas and when found sent to production.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

• Take orders from supervisors for order picking activities.

• Assist in loading and unloading items from delivery trucks.

• Prepare pallets for handling objects appropriately.

• Perform pre-checks on electric pallet jack daily to ensure that they are in proper working order.

• Perform minor troubleshooting activities when needed.

• Ensure that electric pallet jack is maintained on a periodic basis.

• Pick orders from storage areas and verify the accuracy of order from order sheets.

• Count quantity of items asked for by production and ensure that any broken/damaged items are isolated and reported to the supervisor immediately.

• Operate electric pallet jack to lift and transport items to & from the proper bin location as well as making sure proper labeling is being performed.

• Make sure that all items are boxed and appropriately labeled.

• Transport items to the box room or receiving dock safely and urgently.

• Make sure that any unusual incidents or accidents are reported to the supervisor immediately.

• Ensure that any empty pallets are stacked & removed from designated locations.

• Perform a variety of warehousing tasks such as replenishing pick locations.

• Perform labeling, sorting, and storing of picked products.

• Assemble containers and boxes and ensure appropriate maintenance of supplies and equipment.

Minimum Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED equivalent 1 year of experience preferred
