Position Description We have an opening for a SOLO Class A CDL Truck Driver and we want the right Trucker to join us at Ryder in Louisville KY

Driver Typically earns $1400 Weekly
and it gets better
Ryder Drivers are Paid Weekly
Hours Per Week: 40 hours per week
Daily Pay: $64.36 Per Day
Miles Pay: $0.45 per Mile with 1425 Miles per Week
Stops Pay: $8.25 per Stop with 50 Stops per Week
Retention Bonus: Pays You $300 Four Times A Year, Every Quarter
Sign On Bonus: Pays you $1500 at 30 days and $1500 at 90 days
Schedule: Monday - Friday NO WEEKENDS
Trucks are three years or newer. Ryder Drivers Service the Route, not the Truck. All Drivers have 24/7 Roadside Maintenance by a Ryder Trained Technician plus Service Employees fuel up our trucks at all 800 Maintenance Facilities.
Deliver SOLO To: All States East of the Mississippi River
Route: Local Home Daily
Tractor Type: Super Sleeper, Refrigerators and Inverters
Trailer Type: Dry Van, Reefer, Flatbed 28', 48', 53'
Equipment: Electric Pallet Jack
Ryder will Train you on all equipment needed to be successful
Freight: Tailgate Deliveries - Doors and Windows
Freight: No Touch - Hardware Equipment
Freight: Load Securement Only - Bikes and Trikes
Freight: Touch - Steel and Metal
Endorsements: Hazmat - Within 90 Days of Hire
We Reimburse Cost to Obtain Endorsements and Provide Training

Requirements Minimum 21 years of age
Pass a Ryder Drug Test
Pass a Ryder Background and Motor vehicle check including Drug and alcohol verification from previous employers for the last 3 years
Pass a DOT physical
Pass a Ryder road test
Provide appropriate CDL and endorsements for the position
Must have Class A verifiable experience in a tractor trailer or comparable vehicle:
9 months experience within the past 3 years, OR
2 years' experience within the last 5 years, OR
5 years' experience within the last 10 years
Ability to follow written and/or oral instructions
Ability to read, interpret and apply laws, rules, regulations policies and/or procedures
Important Note:
Additional requirements may be required in different locations and/or accounts.

Responsibilities Ensuring compliance with applicable federal and/or state laws, regulations, and/or agency rules, standards and guidelines
Detecting and eliminating or minimizing safety hazards Maintaining accurate records and logs
Loading/Unloading freight or assisting in the loading/unloading of freight if required by customer
Performs other duties as assigned
