Responsible for customer satisfaction or addressing any concerns in a timely basis. This position operates with discretion and authority.u003c/pu003eu003cpu003eu003cbu003eEssential Job Functions u003c/bu003eu003c/pu003eu003culu003eu003cliu003eProvide customers with timely, accurate deliveries in the most cost-effective manner and responds to all requests within 24 hours. Plan special deliveries and redeliveries, making customer service top priority.u003c/liu003eu003cliu003eEnsure colleagues follow all company policies and procedures in order to meet safety goals and guarantee that delivery schedules are consistently met.u003c/liu003eu003cliu003eHire, train and develop colleagues for optimal performance and efficiency. Develop individual colleague goals and provide continuous feedback regarding performance.u003c/liu003eu003cliu003eAddress disciplinary and performance issues in a timely manner and according to company policy. Monitors On-Board System compliance. Completes 10-point review and ensure that all accident report procedures are properly followed.u003c/liu003eu003cliu003eAssist in maximizing truck and labor potential by establishing routes to maintain proper truck utilization; ensure space and weight load standards are compliant; maximize driver and delivery performance by effectively scheduling driver labor (not less than 40 hours per week and within DOT hours of service).u003c/liu003eu003cliu003eEnsure maximum route and fuel efficiency. Maintains budgeted headcount for department and ensures adequate coverage.u003c/liu003eu003cliu003eManage and maintain fleet equipment including, but not limited to, tractors, trailers, hand trucks, ramps, steps, and lift gates.
