The Fleet Manager is an exciting role within the Bell Fleet Solutions team. The successful candidate will function both in an operational and in a financial environment under the direction of the Senior Manager - Strategy and Systems. They will collaborate with various finance teams, external vendors, internal business unit clients, and other Fleet functions. Working with the Senior Manager, they will team-up to apprise the Director - Fleet on issues and trends including risks and opportunities along with detailing options to address or mitigate potential impacts.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

*Manage, forecast and report on Fleet's Capital budget *Create, improve or run models to manage the capital budget and make optimized vehicle purchase and capital allocation decisions *Work closely with the Fleet Engineering, Fleet Advisor, and Business Unit coordinators to ensure that client vehicle requirements are effectively fulfilled *Develop and maintain practical knowledge of Bell Fleet and understand Bell Fleet's role within the larger Bell organization in delivering world class services and solutions *Manage, forecast and report on Fleet's fuel program portfolio *Create, improve or run models to manage the fuel portfolio and make optimized decisions *Work closely with the Fleet Advisors and Business Unit coordinators to ensure that client fuel requirements are effectively fulfilled *Lead and develop a team of three Associates that are responsible for ordering, tracking, and troubleshooting provisioning of new vehicles and fuel cards across Canada   *Provide rigorous monitoring over fuel usage, maintaining and improving anti-fraud/misuse processes *Support relevant tax and SOx control, and audit activities *Assist with the identification and definition of change requirements associated with our fleet management systems
CRITICAL QUALIFICATIONS/COMPETENCIES:

*Degree in business, computer science, information technology and management, engineering and/or at least 3 to 5 years experience in a role supporting operational or financial functions; *Proven computer proficiency with MS tools (Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Word) including advanced Excel skills *Autonomous, excellent capacity to learn and excellent ability to articulate practical applications from learning *Tolerance to ambiguity, ability to stay focused on priorities and to handle multiple projects *Exceptional organizational skills, ability to track and meet deadlines *Strong leadership, analytical and problem-solving skills *Results driven and willing to go the extra mile to achieve goals *Team player with the ability to work in virtual multi-disciplinary teams *Strong oral and written communication skills; comfortable with presenting to Field Services executives and in front of teams *Ability to work with and gain the respect of Fleet team members, our suppliers, our clients and the departments with whom we partner to deliver initiatives,
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS/COMPETENCIES:

*Bilingual; *Knowledge of and strong interest in the Fleet/Automotive industry; *Knowledge and/or experience with financial reporting and tools (SAP); *Knowledge of Excel macros, Microstrategy, and SAS; *Challenge status quo and foster adherence to change; *People leadership, with prior staff management experience
