Job Details:

This position is primarily responsible for assisting in the coordination and production of the export ocean freight booking process for international product shipments. Reviewing documents and correspondence intended for container freight station delivery appointments, drayage scheduling, export shipping data entry, and producing metric data to measure department effectiveness and efficiencies. Besides the coordination of export freight shipments, this position will also work with various international sales offices on a daily basis to insure timely delivery of export shipments to international customers. This position will assist in the investigation, documentation and filing of export claims with the appropriate Tyson Foods departments. This position will also work with various shipping locations (Freezer Warehouses and Distribution Centers) on maintaining positive performance and improving processes based on specific reporting criteria they will manage. They will assist the Global Logistics manager for Poultry in managing other processes including the review of Letters of Credit, communications to ocean freight vendors, and the return process for export containers. They will also assist/cover other Coordinators and other duties as assigned by supervisor.

REQUIREMENTS:


Education: High School level education or equivalent required with basic high-school-level knowledge of Math, English grammar, administrative business activities, etc.

Experience: 3 plus years of experience preferred.

Computer Skills: Basic computer skills including basic knowledge of SAP, Microsoft Excel, Word & Outlook etc.

Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Special Skills: Must demonstrate strong problem-solving skills along with the ability to work well with others in a team setting fostering a positive goal-oriented environment.
