Are you an experienced Insurance professional looking to lead, drive and support projects and changes across a wide range of programs, projects, critical initiatives and business processes? Do you enjoy delivering digital strategy, Products and Proposition projects, business development, growth enablement and organizational change activities? Whilst we are open to location, we would like someone who is comfortable working in a virtual environment, and who can co-ordinate and control activities across multiple countries.Aon is in the business of better decisionsAt Aon, we shape decisions for the better to protect and enrich the lives of people around the world. As an organization, we are united through trust as one inclusive, diverse team, and we are passionate about helping our colleagues and clients succeed.What the day will look likeThis is a hybrid role that will primarily support to the global Transportation & Logistics (T&L) in the execution of its strategy across operations, client services, technology and enabling business growth.DeliverySupport T&L leadership in execution of business objectivesRepresentation of global requirements and priorities at a global change management level.Process management, including mapping the ‘as-is’ state, identification of improvements and modelling future state processes.Handle all programs and projects from conceptualisation / case / inception, delivery (implementation and deployment) to closure (PIR) and provide support across the lifecycle of project delivery and benefits realisation.Build cohesive and effective cross-functional teams across multiple locations to ensure effective and efficient implementation of projects and programsDefinition – clearly define project scope, deliverables and timelines which achieve the strategic outcomes.Planning – develop and run clear program or project plans which enable the successful delivery of projects.Creation of detailed budgets, cases, resource, and benefit realisation plansDrive the projects to completion, including re-planning and finding alternative approaches to overcome obstacles to project progressStakeholder Management - identify and develop relationships with program and project stakeholders and sponsorsSpecific involvement in helping to deliver the Global Marine institute and the global T&L Focus GroupsGovernanceEnsure that projects adopt and implement the governance guidelines established for programs and projects in line with current regulatory environmentReporting: ensuring timely and consistent communication to stakeholders on progress, impacts, and changes associated with the management of the portfolioLead project Steering CommitteesProvide quality assurance ensuring that initiatives are being well managed and adhering to appropriate standards and good practice.Participating in project reviews to ensure quality in deliveries and identify any issues requiring remedial actionIdentification and management of risks, issues and dependencies affecting the project as well as execution of mitigating actions to ensure successful deliveryApplication of consistent quality standards in own work and monitoring and oversight of activitiesHow this opportunity is differentYou will work closely with the CEO and CCO of Transportation & Logistics, regional T&L leaders, as well as global counterparts / governance representatives, steering committees as well as commercial functions. As a trusted advisor to the business, you will help drive strategic agenda and assist in developing business needs into propositions.Skills and experience that will lead to successKnowledge and understand of business operations – ideally within the insurance and reinsurance industry (broking and claims)Proven experience within a similar role with evidence of successful delivery of business and support operations, transformation, IT and business change initiatives with organisation-wide impactQualifications or experience in Six Sigma desirableQualifications in Project Management or Business Analysis desirablePrevious experience on business change, growth and operational excellence related is preferableStrong communication skills (verbal and written) with senior stakeholder groupsExperience in working as a liaison between technical and business areas.Strong interpersonal skills to support team building across multiple locations, in a virtual environmentAble to prioritize and handle pressure situations effectively and professionallyAbility to deliver all project results, documentation to a high standard and qualityDesign, management and delivery of project methodology, framework and adviceHow we support our colleaguesIn addition to our comprehensive benefits package, we encourage a diverse workforce.
