****Job Description Primary Duties / Responsibilities
Transport finished goods, construction equipment and raw materials over land to and from job sites
Inspect vehicles for mechanical items and safety issues and perform preventative maintenance
Load finished goods, construction equipment and raw materials, secure loads and unload at destination.
Plan routes and meet delivery schedules
Document and log work/rest periods and miles spent driving and retain fuel/toll receipts E-Logs.
Comply with truck driving rules and regulations (size, weight, route designations, parking, break periods etc.) as well as with company policies and procedures
Maneuver trucks into loading or unloading positions
Collect and verify delivery instructions
Report defects, accidents or violations
Qualifications Education / Experience / Background
High School diploma or GED
Some experience in a related position and environment preferred.
Knowledge / Skills / Abilities
Good driving skills
Good communications skills
Good interpersonal skills in dealing with owners of tanks
Good organizational/follow-up skills on pending issues Education/Experience Requirements
Proven working experience as a truck driver
Ability to drive long hours and travel regularly
Extensive knowledge of applicable truck driving rules and regulations
No recent moving or driving violations
Adaptability and foresight to handle unexpected situations (traffic, weather conditions etc.)
Willing to submit to background/drug checks and provide employment recommendations
Required Certification / Licenses / Training
Class A CDL required
