Northrop Grumman has an opening for a Principal Supply Chain Logistics Specialist/Sr. Principal Supply Chain Logistics Specialist who supports the development and growth of the Aeronautics Systems Sectors Traffic and Logistics organization located in El Segundo, CA.
This position will assist management in improving performance by determining and reducing inefficiencies, streamlining operations, and identify the best practices to optimize resources.
**Essential Functions:**
Analyze logistics data using tools to include SAP, Global trade services (GTS) and transportation management systems
Understanding of data through the use of Excel applications.
Develop reports to help support data analysis for continuous improvement of business processes
Develop tools to support internal and external partners to achieve effective solution solutions
Collaborate with internal Data Analytics team to bridge the gap between logistics operations and analytics
Analyze critical supply chain functions.
Process ad hoc analysis requests and make recommendations to management
Leverage data to analyze the competitive environment and develop business cases for strategic initiatives that drive speed, reliability, and cost reduction throughout our supply chain
Maintain content on sector Share Point websites
Collaborate in the ongoing development of logistics solutions to streamline data management and logistics requirements.

**Basic Qualifications for Principal Supply Chain Logistics Specialist:**
Master degree with 3 year experience or a Bachelor's degree with 5 years' experience in Supply chain, logistics, business management, procurement and/or similar industry experience
Experience with SAP and/or similar ERP systems
Ability to interact and collaborate with a variety of functions, and government personnel
Experience Microsoft Excel with pivot tables, macros and/or v-look ups
Ability to prioritize and meet milestones
This position requires the ability to obtain and maintain a DOD Secret Clearance within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the company to meet its business needs.
**Basic Qualifications for Sr. Principal Supply Chain Logistics Specialist:**
Master degree with 7 year experience or a Bachelor's degree with 9 years' experience in Supply chain, logistics, business management, procurement and/or similar industry experience
Experience with SAP and/or similar ERP systems
Ability to interact and collaborate with a variety of functions, and government personnel
Experience Microsoft Excel with pivot tables, macros and/or v-look ups
Ability to prioritize and meet milestones
This position requires the ability to obtain and maintain a DOD Secret Clearance within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the company to meet its business needs.
**Preferred Qualifications:**
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Experience in data analytics
DoD experience
Active U.S. Government DoD security clearance at the Secret level
Ability to exercise excellent judgment and decision-making skills based on a clear understanding and application of government regulations to international trade activity.
Salary Range: $61,400.00 - $92,000.00Salary Range 2: $0.00 - $0.00
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
