Description

This position is responsible for maintaining a smooth and accurate flow of trailers to the docks while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures.

Tasks

Drivers are responsible to shag trailers to various on-site locations at the plant, climb in and out of the shag tractor, open trailer doors and put safety devices in place (jack stand and wheel chalks) and perform other duties as needed. Must be able to routinely push, pull, carry and lift 40 pounds or more and use hands and arms above shoulder level. Work outdoors, 8 to 10 hours a day, in all types of weather.

Requirements

Must have a valid driver’s license and the ability to operate a shag truck while working safely in a fast paced environment. Shag driving experience preferred; but not required. PBX is a 7 days a week / 24 hours a day operation. Shifts can be either 4 or 5 days a week and may include weekends depending on the shift. Must be able to work the shift(s) that is currently open.
