Join Medtronic's Global Supply Chain team as the **Sr. Manager, Global Supply Chain and Logistics Sustainability** providing leadership and direction for the development and implementation of policies, plans, programs, and systems for achieving sustainability goals. You will manage the development and audit of processes and procedures to ensure goals are met. You will collaborate with other leaders to implement processes and technologies that reduce the organizations carbon footprint. Utilizing your excellent communication skills to provide education and training to the organization to assure sustainable programs and processes are promoted supporting the organizations sustainability philosophies.
As the **Sr. Manager, Global Supply Chain and Logistics Sustainability** you will:
Create strategy with roadmap and lead logistics specific initiatives to achieve Medtronics Scope 1-3 goals of Carbon Neutral by 2030, and Net Zero by 2045
Lead Supply Chain and Logistics sustainability efforts to drive sustainability improvements and accelerate our environmental leadership across supply chain
Develop, manage, and lead Supply Chain environmental sustainability strategies and roadmap ensuring alignment with enterprise environment and sustainability goals
Craft strategies and policies to enhance Medtronics position in supply chain sustainability. Engage policy makers to support company strategy and to strengthen companys reputation
Develop processes to ensure supplier compliance and mitigate risk
Develop and implement performance metrics to improve logistics partners response rate, and internal sustainability goals
Develop global standards (policy, process, technology, structure), establish, and manage tracking, reporting, and sustainability, carbon emissions compliance
Develop business case for integrating sustainability practices within Medtronic globally supply chain and logistics, synthesizing company data, industry risks, best practices, and global trends
Executive presentation skills to communicate findings to CEO, COO, and Supply Chain Leadership Team
Partner with Medtronics Global Sustainability team to ensure strategic alignment
Identify and build out Global Deliver Sustainability infrastructure with internal (direct and indirect) and external resources accordingly
Partner with Global Network Strategy and Design team to assess tradeoffs and balance Financial or Cost saving targets with Global Sustainability Goals
Develop ESG initiatives globally with our Logistics Partners
Demonstrate the ability to lead change and deliver results with internal and external partners
**ACCOUNTABILITIES**
Global Supply Chain & Logistics ESG strategy
Measuring Global Carbon Emissions standards (calculations, impact tracking, etc.)
Completing Monthly Sustainability reports
Communicating with Global Logistics Partners on their performance vs targets
Communicating emission improvements in Medtronics Supply Chain
Achieve Scope 1-3 ESG goals by 2030/2045
Build Global Logistics Sustainability Team
**Must Have: Minimum Requirements**
Bachelors degree required plus minimum of 7 years of relevant experience, or advanced degree with a minimum of 5 years relevant experience
**Nice to Have**
Bachelors degree in business, supply chain, operations, or sustainability/environmental management related subject
7 years experience in business, industrial and/or safety/environmental responsibilities in a manufacturing and supply chain environment
5 years of Supervisory/Management experience
5 years developing and leading sustainability strategy and deployment
Masters degree in business (MBA), supply chain, operations or sustainability/environmental management related subject
Additional sustainability and supply chain education, training and/or certification through professional organizations
Strategic thinking, analytical skills, ability to track and extract insight from complex data sets, e.g., greenhouse gas emissions, life cycle assessment, etc
Professional membership of an environmental or supply chain institute
Significant experience working with Global 3PL companies with a background in global supply chain
Comprehensive knowledge of Federal, local environmental, health and safety laws and regulations with passion for environmental and social governance
Industry Knowledge in alternative modes and/or methods of Transport with associated impacts on the environment
Global Transportation, Distribution, and/or Network Design experience including global best practices and standards for carbon emission measure
Demonstrated executive, global communication abilities and strong presentation skills
Ability to lead collaboration across diverse teams to motivate groups to collectively meet sustainability objectives without direct line reporting and responsibility
Deep knowledge of sustainability landscape and legislative requirements
Ability to communicate with key stakeholders on global, national and regional issues e.g., climate change, biodiversity and responsible sourcing
Knowledge of supply chain and key sustainability drivers and impacts
Ability to network and influence to build relationships at executive, director and senior management level
