Company Driver Jobs description
Many companies hire designated company drivers to perform a variety of driving-related functions. Typically, a company driver must ensure the safety and security of the items or people he or she transports and must be familiar with the various routes assigned to him or her. The company driver also must take care of the company's vehicle; coordinate with carriers, coordinators, and other personnel; ensure that deliveries are made on time; and troubleshoot minor mechanical problems that may arise.Company drivers also may be referred to as drivers, truck drivers, transport drivers, or regional company drivers. Company driver jobs usually require applicants to have a high school diploma or GED and a valid driver's license with a good driving record.
