Transportation Leader Jobs
A transportation leader works within established programs, implements plans and policies, and publicizes all program activities to be offered, both those in the required basic categories and those additional ones that may be available and desirable in terms of participant interests and needs. A transportation leader collects, verifies, and deposits funds received from daily operations. A transportation leader uses advanced functions of word processing software to create, format, modify, edit, and print a variety of letters, reports, memos, and other documents. A transportation leader manages and operates a full-service leisure travel and tours program both directly and through subordinate staff.
One year of graduate education related to the occupation is required for a transportation leader job. In addition, a transportation leader position requires knowledge of the organization and administration of recreational activities, including the preparation of activities calendars, the maintenance of attendance records, and providing information concerning schedules and activities. A transportation leader should also have knowledge of a wide range of principles, processes, and techniques relating to safety management policies, practices, and procedures, including but not limited to knowledge of first aid and CPR.
