The Labor Day weekend is gone, and
US Airways is buckling down for business.
The airline is planning on making job cuts, and the changes are due to start in October. It is expected that around 300 pilots will be let go. Fortunately, no flight attendants will be dismissed in the airline’s
business plans. Schedules will change as well, with a 10% cut in flights out of Phoenix. The company also has first and second bag fees. They hope to save $400-500 million on an annual basis.
The overall goal of this is to better the price of flights. Let’s all cross our fingers that the plan is successful.
