The Inventory Supervisor internally titled, Customer Logistics Supervisor oversees the inventory operations and management of employees in a 220K square feet distribution center. Directs employees engaged in conducting DSS inventories, researching inventory discrepancies and documenting gains and losses through causative research, performing denial research, item data maintenance and location surveys.
Ability to reconcile inventory.
Lead a team of inventory control inspectors that sample the current inventory and determine discrepancies.
Research discrepancies, difference between the physical and logical inventories, including Work in Process material
Maintain negative inventory discrepancies below a certain contractual limit
Analytical skills and tech / software savvy.
Use the analytical and problem solving skills to troubleshoot and eliminate the sources of the discrepancies
Must be able to interact with customer manufacturing and communicate inventory / balance positive vs negative.
High School diploma or GED equivalent required
Experience with DOT, OSHA, and all related safety regulations required
Minimum of 6 (six) months supervisory experience required
1-3 Years of experience in a transportation, warehouse or distribution environment preferred
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Preferred
Knowledge/Experience in transportation environment, (i.e. Shipping, receiving and inventory management, distribution or dispatch) preferred
Knowledge of warehouse and or software applications, routing and dispatch software systems preferred
Performance management of direct reports. Developing direct reports
Employee relations/issue resolution New employee training
Quality assurance Administrative duties
Customer satisfaction/problem resolution
Ensure functional area meets all productivity goals and objectives
Safety management and reporting
